ExperienceFirst of all I would like to specify that I am offering ONLINE Spanish lessons. I am constantly moving between Mexico, New York, and England due to my husband's doctorate program so I offer lessons online.
Here is how it works:
I can tutor you wherever you are, from the comfort of your own home. I have a website set up for my students where I upload resources and homework. Live teaching time is done through video chat. Payments are made conveniently and securely by paying through the PayPal link on my website. For more information contact me at my tutoring e-mail:
Now for my Experience:
I have tutored students on the University Level since the Fall of 2008. I have also tutored high school students in Spanish. I have been a permanent substitute for Spanish at Faith Heritage School in New York where I was responsible for teaching all the levels of Spanish to middle and high schoolers. I have created and directed a Spanish club for 4th and 5th grade students. I am approved by Southern Teachers Association to teach Spanish k-Advanced Placement. I completed a study abroad experience at the Puebla Institute of Spanish in Puebla, Puebla, México. I continue to be immersed in the Spanish language/culture as my husband is Mexican and we are currently living in Mexico. I am also currently auditing classes at a local University here in Mexico for the fun of it and to try to increase my vocabulary further as I believe fluency is limitless and one can always learn more. I love tutoring as it gives personalized instruction and allows each student to learn at their own pace.
HobbiesI love learning languages. My husband is currently teaching me an Aztec language called Nahuatl and we both hope to learn French. I love writing everything from novels, to songs, to poetry. I enjoy playing the guitar. I love mountain climbing, camping, and rock climbing. I enjoy creating things and also have a crafty side where I knit, crochet, make jewelry and scrapbook. I enjoy experimenting with different recipes and making and eating food from a variety of cultures. I love reading and studying the Bible and fellowshipping with my church family.

Great experience with Krista. Very professional-- well-organized, friendly and focused. Will continue my studies with her.
Krista is a fantastic tutor. She assessed my level very quickly and since then has delivered challenging lessons that have helped me improve. She took into account what I wanted to learn, whilst suggesting other areas for me to improve that I hadn't even considered. Krista utilizes a large range of resources, so lessons never get boring. Concepts are explained very clearly, so you're never left confused. I have studied Spanish at University level for two years both in the UK and Mexico, and I can honestly say that out of the numerous teachers and tutors I have had Krista has been the best. Highly recommended.
I’ve had 20 lessons with Krista and I’ve really enjoyed them. She’s adapted the lessons to my ability and learning style, which has helped me make good progress. She’s always enthusiastic in the lessons and she has lots of tricks for learning vocab and grammar rules.
