-- Tutoring experience with students of myriad ages, backgrounds, abilities, and interests. My proudest tutoring moment so far has been getting a severely hyperactive boy to enjoy reading. We used Calvin and Hobbes comics to build not only interest, but also vocabulary and comprehension. We both had quite a bit of fun. -- Experienced with children with special needs, including developmental delays. -- Strong writing and editing skills. I was Senior Editor of SUNY Geneseo's MiNT Magazine, and have completed a writing-intensive internship in marketing. No mind-boggling research papers or misplaced commas have beaten me yet! -- College coursework in literature, psychology, anthropology, sociology, and journalism.
