Being a teaching assistant has made me appreciate how much a teacher has to offer. I will continue to assist, working as a TA for an Engineering Computing course. I have even led two different workshops per week for a small Chemistry group. The sessions lasted 75 minutes each. I also offered three hours throughout the week where Economics students were able to come to my office and ask any questions they had about the weekly assignment. Attending the University of Rochester gave me the knowledge I needed in these courses to assist others. I took both AP Chemistry and AP Computer Science in high school, and I took similar courses at the college level.While Science is one of my main focuses, I also tutor students in other subjects. Math is a common option, with focuses on Calculus and Algebra. I typically work with older students.My spare time is spent learning about current events. I also enjoy environmental science and spend free time learning about sustainability. Spending time with others is also important, so I make sure to save time for my friends and family. When I'm not busy with family, friends, or learning, I take time to myself to run track.
