EducationHello, my name is Caleb and I'm a PhD student at Syracuse University. I am also a graduate of Mathematics and Physics at Ithaca College. There I also had the unique opportunity of taking many classes at Cornell University. I then spent the next year working at SUNY Adirondack as a Mathematics Adjunct before starting my PhD. As for my teaching experience, I was a tutor and T.A. for four years at Ithaca College for Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, and German as well as a private tutor at Cornell University. I have a broad range of Mathematical knowledge and try to integrate physical visualization and computer visuals when applicable into the learning process. I believe everyone is not only capable of learning Mathematics but getting some joy out of doing it as well. I have teaching experience in not only High School Math, College Mathematics for both majors and non major, but also Graduate work. I also have a solid background in the SATs and AP exams with near perfect to perfect scores on 8 of them. I also have a working knowledge of Spanish and German for those students with language difficulties.
ExperienceI have hundreds of hours of prior tutoring experience. This includes students from 7th grade through returning Mathematics students in their 50s, exams from the SAT to GRE, and a wide variety of ability levels from struggling Middle Schoolers to more advanced Cornell mathematics students. My speciality is of course tutoring in Mathematics. HobbiesWhen I'm not doing Mathematics, I'm a big TV and movie buff. It not only helps me relax after a long day but gives me great examples for metaphors or places to refer to for a more interesting stock of mathematics examples. When I'm not doing that I'm cooking or playing the violin. I was once a professional violinist!
