I have a bachelor's degree in biology (with honors) from Hamilton College. I am not in school currently, as I work to earn some more for my next degree, which I expect will be a doctorate in Evolutionary Biology and Ecology. In college, I was associated with the Young People's Project as a math literacy worker. My focus was working weekly with 7th and 8th students, boosting their Math skills. I also led exercises to help the kids increase their leadership skills and confidence. My editing skills for college-level papers are strong, and I have helped several relatives and friends organize their papers, develop more cohesive programs, and craft better thesis statements. From a personal perspective, Biology is my favorite subject to learn. But, my favorite subject to tutor is Math. Many students find Math very daunting. As a tutor, I love being there for the "ah-ha" moment when they get the concept. From a personal perspective, I live in Schenectady, New York. I like to walk my dog and go hiking. I am working on my skills in French, and would love to live in France.
