I earned my bachelor's of arts degree in Neuroscience and Cell Biology at Rutgers University. I appreciated my education, and enjoy helping students meet or beat their academic goals. My tutoring specialty lies in assisting students as they study for standardized tests such as the SAT and GRE, among others. I feel the excitement along with my student when they are able to achieve the score needed to get into their first choice school. Because students are all different, and have many different styles of learning, I use an individualized tutoring approach for each one. I take the time to learn their strengths and interests, and use these to improve on areas of weakness. I don't lecture my tutoring students. I work with them, as a team, to guide them toward the success they are capable of achieving. I don't believe that success is given to students based on superior intelligence. Instead, I believe that hard work and dedication are what leads students through difficulties towards their successes. I work with students at different levels, and have found that I am good at helping students reduce their levels of testing anxiety, working with them in a relaxed, safe environment until they feel the exams to be more approachable.
